Building Inspectors Consortium uses a complicated system to price fairly. We have tried different approaches using sales price (unfair), bedrooms and baths, square footage, age, number of heating and cooling zones etc. and have found that none of them alone will give you, the purchaser, the type of fair pricing that is relatively equal for all. After almost 25 years of estimating costs we have come up with an accurate, stable system that generates a reasonable cost for our inspections and that takes into account all of the above variables plus some others.

We caution you that we are not the cheapest guys on the block. We have very little interest in competing head to head with some of the lower priced firms out there. On the plus side we are probably not the most expensive either. We believe our experience gained by inspecting over 12,000 homes on the North Shore, Skokie, Northbrook, Chicago, all of Lake County and portions of McHenry county is a valuable commodity and is priced as such.

We only allow inspectors to do two inspections a day which gives us the ability to take a great deal of time with what will probably be the biggest purchase you make. We are available for continued phone conversations and any sort of follow up necessary.
